1. Shut off the main water supply valve to the refrigerator

2. Remove old cartridge by grasping firmly and twisting counterclockwise 1/4 turn

3. Push new Filter 1 - Smart Filter Refrigerator Water Filter compatible with Filter 1 - everydrop by Whirlpool, Ice and Water Refrigerator Filter 1 (W10295370A) - EDR1RXD1 into the filter receiver and turn 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks

4. Turn on the main water supply valve to the refrigerator
