1. Shut off the main water supply valve to the refrigerator

2. Remove old cartridge by grasping firmly and twisting counterclockwise 1/4 turn

3. Push new Filter 4 - Whirlpool everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 4 (Ukf8001) - EDR4RXD1 into the filter receiver and turn 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks

4. Turn on the main water supply valve to the refrigerator

5. Flush the refrigerator water system after replacing the Filter 4 - Whirlpool everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 4 (Ukf8001) - EDR4RXD1 cartridge.

6. Sputtering may occur until air is purged from water line and Filter 4 - Whirlpool everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 4 (Ukf8001) - EDR4RXD1

7. Reset water filter status display - replace filter every 6 months
